The new series of the Pokémon Anime will be called:

“Pocket Monsters Best Wishes”

It is the 4th series of the Pokémon Anime and it will succeed the Diamond and Pearl series of the Pokémon Anime. It is based on the 5th Generation games “Pokémon Black and White” and it will be airing on Japan this fall 2010.

Apparently, before this was revealed. A screenshot of what it seems to be the beta art of the Best Wishes series of the Pokémon anime had leaked on the internet on the same day the uncomplete trailer of Pokémon Black and White was shown on Pokémon Sunday last June 27, 2010. The girl’s name on the concept art is “Iris”, it shows Ash in Black’s clothes, it shows Team Rocket, it shows a new character, and it shows four new Pokémon. When Pocket Monsters Best Wishes was revealed, it shows two silhouettes of the new characters, and one of them is one of the characters on the beta art (the girl, Iris) and the posing is exactly the same as in the beta art, so this just confirms that the beta art of the Best Wishes series of the Pokémon anime is indeed real and confirms four new Pokémon and new information about the anime such as Ash’s new clothes; Black’s clothes, girl will be present in the anime, and a new character. Just take note that the girl’s name “Iris” is not yet really official since it’s only the beta art and it may subject to change and the names of the starters on the beta art were different too so it could be their beta names before Pokémon Black and White were revealed. The new Pokémon between Iris and Jessie is called “Coromori” ( コロモリ). The 2 other new Pokémon are the evolution of Tsutarja and Mijumaru and there’s another new Pokémon on Iris’s bottom.
