Since Toy Convention 2009 is a meet-up date for both rangers and members alike, I might as well let you in on the contests that participants of the Toy Con (and maybe you) will be preparing for the said event on June 13-14, 2009 at the SM Megamall Trade Halls 2-3.

The following contests are posted in the Toy Con website. Check the site out for more detailed rules and activities.

1. 4th Toycon Booth Babe Contest

If you’re not a female of legal age and a member of booth exhibitors in the event, then this isn’t for you. Sorry!

2. GI Joe Fanart Contest

Basically, you’ll just be drawing fan art Joes here: Joes in action, Joes in a pose, solo Joes, group Joes, etc.

3. COSPLAY CLICKS – Cosplay Photography Contest

As you can infer from the title, this is all about taking pictures of cosplayers. This contest is open for all. Only one non-digitally edited black and white/colored  photo per participant is allowed.

4. TOY CLICKS – Toy Photography Contest

‘Nuff said.

5. 4th Philippine Fan Film Contest

This is  interesting. Rules say: “Create a fan film inspired by any existing local or international titles of anime, comics, games, novels, fantasy-scifi, or tv-movie. Fan film can be in any style of comedy, action, parody and spoof, or in movie trailer style, commercial or movie. Live action, Cosplay and animation are accepted.”

6. Toy Design Contest

Design your own vinyl/resin/synthetic/plastic/cardboard toys!

7. Customized Die Cast Cars Contest

Cars! Customized or dress up 1/64 or 1/18 scale die cast cars are in this contest.

8. Toy Diorama Making Contest

It’s pretty simple: you make an interesting diorama of your Mecha, action figure, and/or scale models.

9. Scale Model Contest

Open categories for scale models of armor, figure, cars, automobiles, and aircraft.

10. Customized Mecha Figure Contest

Another interesting yet fun contest. Customize your Gundam, Transformers, Zoids, Sentai Robots, etc.!

11. Customized Action Figure Contest

Customize your own action figures of superheroes, anime and/or movie characters!

12. Live Action Figure Costume and Cosplay Contest

This is open to all. It has 6 categories in which you can join in: Cosplay Anime and Manga, Cosplay Comics, Cosplay TV and Movie, Cosplay Video Game, Cosplay Toys, 3rd Philippine Game Girl.

and lastly (in my opinion, the most exciting and enjoyable contest )…

13. CREATIVOICES Voice Acting Contest

Open to those aged 16 years and above. They’ll do a live voice acting of their favorite anime character on stage.
